COMPUTER APPLICATION

still rendering and 3d animation

In our computer application class, we started with the fundamentals of 3D modeling. By project 2, we have the necessary knowledge to start working on still renders. After messing around with basic modelling, we thn proceed to refining the details. For instance, lighting and matrials were applied to the model. We had to spend a decent amount of time in ensuring the light and shadow are rendered in the right way, numerous test renders were created on the way. We are later introduced to more softwares like Adobe Photoshop to enhance backgrounds and colour correcting.

For our final project, we were challenged with the toughest one yet, to create a one minute animated video of our model. This was tough yet fun at the same time as we get to be as creative as we can to present our building in any manner. With good understanding of my building design concept, I extracted the core concept of my building and made it into my theme for the video (progess can be checked in my WIP). But to achieve great things, we'll have to work for it too. We had to spend countless nights to render the frames and finally put them together with yet another software, Adobe Premiere Pro. After investing limitless hours of sleep in it, the outcome was indeed fulfilling.
