1. Work Experiences

​

Worked as a part time Head Attendant Floor Staff at Sapporo Teppanyaki Glasgow, Japanese Restaurant, whilst completing Master's degree at the University of Strathclyde.

​

Worked as an Assistant Architect at Design Collective Architects Sdn. Bhd. (DCA) since March 2016 to August 2016. With DCA, I was given the chance to work on a residential condominium and had been exposed to the workflow of a project during Building Plan Submission and Tendering Stage. This also allowed myself to improve in consultant coordination as communication with the client and engineers is key to a successful project.

 

Worked at Product Design & Development Department, Sunway Integrated Properties Sdn. Bhd. of Sunway Group as an intern for the whole of August 2015. I was given the opportunity to work with good class products and design by renowned Seksan Design (SD2) and Design Network Architects (DNA).

 

Worked at DP Architects Pte. Ltd. (DPA) in Singapore as Architectural Trainee for 3 months (December 2014 - March 2015). With DPA, I was exposed to various international projects and was introduced to many new innovative building technology.

 

Elected as vice chairman for Taylor's University Architecture Graduation Exhibition 2016. Developed team building, time management, tasks allocation and negotiation skills throughout the planning and execution of event.

 

Freelance junior cinematographer/videographer since April 2013 till date. Helped stimulate & exercise my creative mind in content-creating such as short films and wedding ceremony videos.

 

Volunteered as lead videographer for World Vision’s 30-hour Famine fund raising charity DIY camp at Taylor’s University in 2013, 2014 and 2015 consecutively.

 

Worked at Machines (Apple Premium Reseller) as Sales Personal for 4 months from November 2012 to March 2013. Developed various team building skills and customer service skills, as I was required to work with different colleagues and resolve walk-in customers' needs on a regular basis.

 

Active participant as a fund-raising committee in secondary school and successfully organized a charity named ‘Because We Care’ in 2011 after Japan was hit by Tsunami. I was able to practise skills such as time management, tasks allocation and negotiations during the course of the project.

 

 

2. Academic Achievements

​

Current postgrad student of the University of Strathclyde pursuing Master of Architectural Design (MArch).   

​

Successfully completed Bachelor of Science (Hons) (Architecture) in Taylor's University Lakeside Campus with Second Upper-Class Honours. 

 

Awarded Dean's List in semester 3, 4 and 5 of Bachelor of Science (Hons) (Architecture) consecutively.

 

Received a merit scholarhip of 50% tuition fee waiver for the Western Australia Certificate of Education in Methodist College Kuala Lumpur, with SPM forecast results of 7A's and 3B's. Graduated WACE with ATAR 79.40.

 

Obtained High Distinction in the year of 2011 for SPM 1119 English examination.

 

A righteous school prefect from 2010 - 2011.

 

Nominated as the President of the Maintenance Squad Club in 2011.  Helped improve my leadership and my proficency in tool handling and model-making.

 

Nominated as the Deputy Head Librarian of 'Access Centre' in 2008.

 

 

3. Interests

 

Awarded second runner-up for the PAM's annual exhibition 2014 - Student Competition Category.

PAM = Pertubuhan Akitek Malaysia (Architect Organisation of Malaysia)

 

A hobby and passion for content creating and videography and does freelance work when time allows. (Event Videography: Expos, Competitions, Short-films, Weddings, etc.)

 

Awarded first runner-up for Monash University Sunway Campus’ ‘MyMonashMoments 2013’ short-film competition.

 

 

4. Additional Information

 

Able to fluently speak, write and read 4 languages namely English, Mandarin, Malay and Cantonese.

 

Fond of learning new skills and being exposed to new tasks and activities.
